DBAO results from the collaborative efforts of a group of accomplished Afghan multidisciplinary experts and scholars. It is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political national organization committed to serving and benefiting underprivileged populations nationwide.

Leveraging a team of well-qualified and expert personnel, DBAO has crafted a forward-looking multi-sectoral development plan to address the current needs and requirements for 2021-2022. This plan, or RS DBOA's Strategic Plan, embodies the organization's dedication to effectively achieving its objectives.

DBAO is a forward-thinking Non-Governmental Organization with official registration with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and local provincial governments. Furthermore, the organization is registered with esteemed entities such as the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (UNOCHA), the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (ACBAR), the Afghan NGOs Coordination Bureau (ANCB), and several other relevant departments of the Afghanistan government and donor agencies. These registrations reflect DBAO's commitment to transparency, accountability, and alignment with national and international guidelines, reinforcing its role as a responsible and trustworthy actor in Afghanistan's humanitarian and development sectors.
